Linking Words of Condition

In this lesson, we will review the most common linking words (connectives) of ‘concession & contrast’ in spoken and written English: but, yet, though, although, even though, however, nevertheless, while, whereas, despite, and in spite of. We will end the lesson with a quiz to test your assimilation.

Conditional linking words

In English grammar, conditional conjunctions are words that connect the clauses or ideas in a conditional sentence. The most common one is ”if”, but there are others as well.
