Linking Words of Purpose

In this lesson, we will review the most common linking words (conjunctions) of ‘purpose’ in spoken and written English: so, to, in order to, so as to, in order that, so that, with the aim of, for the purpose of, and with a view to. We will end the lesson with a quiz to test your assimilation.

Linking Words” is used as a term to denote a class of English words which are employed to link or connect parts of speech or even whole sentences. They are also called connecting words.
